⭐ Father’s Little Dividend (1951) Full Movie | Elizabeth Taylor | Comedy | Public Domain

Father’s Little Dividend (1951) is a classic family comedy directed by Vincente Minnelli and released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Spencer Tracy returns as Stanley Banks, the increasingly overwhelmed father from Father of the Bride, who has barely recovered from his daughter Kay’s wedding when she and her husband, Buckley, announce that they are expecting their first child. While everyone else celebrates the approaching arrival, Stanley struggles with the idea that he is about to become a grandfather. Starring Joan Bennett, Elizabeth Taylor, and Don Taylor alongside Tracy, Father’s Little Dividend turns pregnancy, nervous grandparents, competing in-laws, baby preparations, and family expectations into a warm continuation of the Banks family story. Released only a year after Father of the Bride, the sequel reunites much of the original cast and again combines domestic comedy with Vincente Minnelli’s polished MGM direction. For fans of Spencer Tracy, Elizabeth Taylor, classic family comedies, Golden Age Hollywood, and 1950s MGM films, Father’s Little Dividend remains an affectionate look at the chaos and joy of a growing family.
